BUILD TECHNOLOGIES, INC.

Build Launch Film

Long-form video for a full launch rollout.

About the Project

Build launched publicly as a neofirm for the built world. Site selection, feasibility and design development run on their software, with a thin layer of human expertise on top. 150+ projects across 18 countries, and work that used to take months coming back in days.

The film had one job: make that legible to people who have never watched a data center get planned. The spine is a line from James, Build's founder. In this buildout the bottleneck is time, not capital.

One launch film. Built to explain the product, hold up on stage, and cut down into short social edits. One visual system, every format pulled from it: the main film, a teaser, and vertical cutdowns for paid social.

How we made it

Script and storyboard first. There is no voiceover, so we wrote the on-screen copy and the frames together.

Then a design pass on the key frames: the assistant working, a real site outside Abilene, layouts landing on terrain. Type and color came from the new brand.

Animation last. Everything ran in one shared cut, so feedback stayed in one place. One week from kickoff to launch day.

Selected scenes

Scene 1

01 Opening

Starts dark and almost still. Light builds in from one edge until the frame opens, and the first line lands on top of it: the world's data centers can't move fast enough. The product stays out of this part. It is only the scale of the problem.

Scene 2

02 Product reveal

The interface arrives. A real site loads, the assistant starts working, and a layout lands on the terrain. Months of site work in a single unbroken shot.

Scene 3

03 Closing frame

Everything resolves into type and the logo, held long enough to actually read.
